How To Be A Super Affiliate

Are you ready to become a super affiliate?

A super affiliate earns a sizable income by selling other people’s products and services. They earn a commission for each item that someone buys via their recommendation. This means that they don’t have to create a product, sort out delivery, manage payment systems or customer queries. The product creator takes care of all those things.

This system of affiliate marketing online is the easiest way to start your own internet business and earn an income via the internet.

But you don’t become a super affiliate overnight. It takes a lot of hard work and commitment. Here are 10 tips to help you create the success you desire.

10 Tips For Being A Super Affiliate

1. Be Friendly, Helpful And Honest

A super affiliate is excellent at engaging people. They are well liked and usually have an email list of people who they contact on regular basis. They gain this following by providing great value, offering honest advice and reviews and truly caring about their customers. You don’t have to have an out-going personality to be a super affiliate, but you do need to be friendly, helpful, honest and care about the things you promote.

2. Think About ‘Telling’ Not ‘Selling’

When you first learn affiliate marketing, you learn how to sell other people’s products to a target market. But a super affiliate will concentrate more on ‘telling’ rather than ‘selling’. They help people find solutions to their problems. When you put it in the context of helping people find what they need or want, you take the pressure off yourself to be constantly selling. This will allow your efforts to flow from authenticity rather than appearing overeager in trying to make money. Anything you offer your audience, whether free or paid, should provide value above all else. If the products or services you offer don’t make the audience feel like they’re getting more than they paid for, they’re going to be unhappy.

3. Be Consistent

If you work on your affiliate business during your free time as a part-time side business you can still become a super affiliate. You just need to be consistent with your online presence, list building tactics and providing value. The better you do your job as an affiliate, the more your followers and customers will recommend you to others. If you provide excellent products and services, your customers will be happy to provide referrals when asked to do so.

4. Treat It Like A Business

This is another huge key to building an online business as an affiliate marketer. Even if you only work it part time, you need to treat it like a real business and not something you play around with. It’s okay to play around in the beginning and find out if this is right for you and it’s a good way to learn. But sooner or later, if you want to create a real business you’ll have to treat it that way if you’re going to become a super affiliate.

5. Only Promote Products You Believe In

This is really important in the beginning and much easier to keep up with until you learn the ropes. There are an almost limitless number of products and services you can promote as an affiliate. But don’t jump in and offer dozens of products that you know very little about. Pick a few in a niche that you truly love and promote those. You can add more as you gain knowledge and experience, but start small. This will also help keep you from getting overwhelmed.

6. Offer Products At Different Price Points

Many new affiliates want to pick high-end and high priced items to promote. After all, the higher the value of the product, the more commission you will make. Certainly, selling high ticket items is a key part of the super affiliate formula. But you should also offer a variety of price points, because it takes time to build trust from people if you want them to spend a large amount of money with you.

Offer some entry-level $7 and $10 products, a few in the $20 to $30 range and maybe one or two at a $97 price point. This way people won’t think you are just trying to make money by offering only high priced items. In fact, many people who you are targeting may not be able afford the higher priced products and need a cheaper alternative.  Once you get established and your customers have come to know, like and trust you, you can add some of the products that range up to $1000 or more. Trying to be a high-end affiliate in the beginning isn’t a good idea though.

7. Have Your Own Website

A super affiliate will have their own affiliate marketing website. You can start affiliate marketing without your own website by simply directing prospects to a product owner’s sales page. However, if that prospect doesn’t buy anything, you’ve lost them for good. However, if your prospects are connected to your website, if they don’t buy a particular offer today, you can tempt them with something else in the future. Building a website isn’t as complicated as you might think, and there are many easy to use website platforms that can get you online quickly and efficiently.

8. Understand Your Audience

The more you know about your audience, the more you can be sure that you’re offering products or services that they need and want. If you don’t know who you’re marketing to, it will be very difficult to choose the right products. You want to find products that solve problems for your audience. If you’re not solving a problem, you may be creating one. Find two or three pain points your audience has. Then search for products to see if you can find solutions for your audience.

9. Have Multiple Income Streams

You don’t want too many products, but on the other hand you don’t want to deal with only one. You need to diversify your income stream by adding more than one product. The trick is ensuring that all products fit with your ideal audience. A super affiliate will have a good mix of related products that provide 3 key income streams. These are basic one-off direct sales incomerecurring income, and high ticket income. When marketing affiliate programs, if you see that they’re not converting, or have poor conversions, replace them with something new.

10. Keep Learning

Subscribe to useful blogs and newsletters that will keep you updated on what’s happening in your chosen niche. New technology, products and market trends will pass you by if you don’t keep yourself updated. Keep an eye out for educational webinars and courses from industry experts and set aside a budget to invest in learning more about becoming a super affiliate.
